Dear All

I am a Mumbai based Mech Engg planning to come to Canada this summer,please let me know hoe the newly landed desis fairing in their first few months of life or how the now settled desis faired in their first few months / years.I furtherrequest all to give me the real answer and the actual problems that they faced with their lifes

This is how I plan to go ahead with my new life post landing

I have already arranged PG accomodation aprartment by posting my query in CD
Cost of PG in GTA is app $600 and total cost of living per month may be upto $1000-1200
Apply for SIN and with the receipt open a bank a/c
Then the same day I go to local HRDC office to ask for any help they provide
I try to join some language school for English and French
I satrt searching for jobs/ srvival jobs in newspapers, with people I know ( my host will be only one) and via internet .
Try to get some Canadian experience by joinning any NGO
After some weeks I will try to get my educational credentials validated by some authority and join some course to get aligned to Canadian standards
Join some university programme to further my education

Please let me know if I am wrong in this somehow and any changes I need to make in the way I look at the situation
