Isnt it true that people who get fed up with the corrupt and pathetic life in India (amongst Indians) come to Canada looking for better infrastructure and very less corrupt society ?

I also feel that Canada should be less racist than US for a simple fact that Canada unlike the US is built and building on Immigrants and a sense of equality is there which is not prevalent in the US where Americans are thoroughly bred over generations .

No place in the world is corruption free - agreed . But the level varies and which becomes a deciding factor .In India where corruption levels may be 8/10 in Canada they may be 4/10 and not affecting every day life .

I knew that this could be a debatable thread and hence kept myself away from it, but after 53 days I have my first remarks.

I asked myself the same question and got the answer that I was having a huge income in INDIA. So Is it really a factor to decide after coming here in my case? NEVER..... Let's do some comperative in my case..

Our take home Household income was Rs. 52,000.00 per month after tax ------- NOW AS ON DATE ONLY MY WIFE IS WORKING AND EARNING A TAKE HOME SALARY OF RS. 75000 (CONVERTED TO INR) IN CANADA.


Taking the example of the working partner, i.e my wife, she used to come back home by 9:30 minimum to worst as 12:00 in the night (thanks to private banking of india). ------ SHE COMES BACK HOME LATEST BY 6:30.


I worked for 14 years in SALES, running here and there in heat, dust on scooter, bike, lastly in car but for Kms and Kms to industrial locations and used to come back after 9:00 or 10:00 at an average. --------- CANADA HAS GIVEN ME A WELL DESERVED BREAK AND I AM ABLE TO AND AFFORD TO RELAX.

I never had sound sleep in INDIA, especially in the last 3 years. I used to see my seniors shouting in the dreams asking for targets and quotas. Many of you will agree to me on how stressfull the INDIAN corporate life is, especially in SALES and that too in INSURANCE/FINANCE Sector. We used to come back early in the morning on the last 5 days of the month, CALLED "CLOSING". ----------- THE WORD CLOSING IS GONE FROM MY LIFE AND CAN YOU BELIEVE I HAVE A WONDERFUL SOUND SLEEP SINCE I HAVE COME HERE.

I worked for 14 years continuously in India ----------- I AM NOT WORKING SINCE LAST 39 DAYS AND IT HAS STILL BECOME POSSIBLE FOR ME TO SPEND ALMOST WHOLE DAY IN THE MISSISSAUGA LIBRARY TO STUDY FURTHER FOR ACQUIRING MY LICENSES TO START MY OWN BUSINESS. (I stopped sharing my updates due to obvious reasons but let me tell you, as you all know I got a job on the 5th day from my landing date but then stopped working on the 10th day from the first day of this job to start studying).

Last but not the least,

Me and my wife practically never had GHAR KA KHANA except sundays in INDIA. We had a tiffeen wala leaving his THANDA KAHANA hooked on our door stopper and we used to heat it in the owen at late night. --------- WE ARE HAVING GHAR KA GARAM KHANA WITH MY WIFE HAVING LOTS OF TIME TO RELAX AND PREPARE FOOD FOR US. IN FACT BEING A FOND OF COOKING I AM ABLE TO HELP HER AND ENJOY COOKING TOGETHER.


I can think of few more examples of positive outcomes, but it depends on every different case. Its good so far for me, but it can be different for someone else. Its my story so far and I AM HAPPY at the moment.

I feel that while coming from Inida to canada the money matters and while considering the option of returing from Canada to India, the money is not the motivating factors. There are always some other importnat reasons in addtion to money while deciding the move from Canada to India.

NO I FULLY DIAGREE TO THIS, I HAD MADE AN EXCEL SHEET OF MY FUND FLOW IN CANADA OF THE FIRST ONE YEAR BEFORE COMING. IN FACT I DID NOT PUT ANYTHING ON PLUS SIDE FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS AND SHOWED SETTLEMENT FUNDS GOING AWAY @ 2000 CAD/MONTH. AND THEN SHOWED 2000 CAD/MONTH ON PLUS SIDE FROM THE 4TH MONTH. THE INCOME STARTED FROM THE VERY FIRST MONTH, MOREOVER PLEASE REALISE THAT YOU HAVE TO INVEST SOMETHING TO GAIN MORE. EXAMS AND CERTIFICATIONS ARE YOUR ENHANCERS, THEY ARE NOT EXPENSES. ONE MUST INVEST IN THE SAME TO BE MORE SALEABLE IN THE JOB/BUSINESS MARKET. SO I AM GONNA INVEST AT LEAST 3000 CAD TO ADD MORE ZEROS IN FUTURE IN THAT FIGURE.
