Hi Mishej

Where the hell have you guys been. Mishter was quite active on CD before you came to Canada and I was thinking, he will become even more addicted to CD once you are there (ok ok sorry - no harm meant!). Infact he invited us over for dinner a few times before your arrival...........but once you are there, nothing.........:(

Anyway, it seems that you have been talking to people who live in apartments, or do not sit in their backyards just when it becomes dark. Yes there are mosquitos in Canada and you can feel them in each house once sun sets and the temperature is just right for them to come out and play!

But that's about summer - I am sure, in winters, like all of us, they do not want to play in the backyard!

Yes, Canada has mosquitoes.

There are ads on TV about West Nile Virus (spread by mosquitoes) from the Ontario government too!

Yes there are mosquitoes in Canada. But there are two varieties of them. There are the Canadian born mosquitoes and then there are the immigrant mosquitoes(Mishej, trust me, some of the latter came with you without your knowledge! They are just as enamoured of Canada as us humans!)

Now, the Canadian mosquitoes are mostly well off since they have learnt the Canadian way to bite and get their fill. The desi mosquitoes on the other hand lack "proper communication skills" and so forth. Their attempts at foraging are generally unsuccessful because the hosts refuse to let them work on account of no "Canadian experience" at biting and sucking blood. After all, stinging and sucking blood is also a skill that is different if practised the Canadian way.

The desi mosquitoes were very active and busy back home, but even after having got their attacking and biting skills evaluated by professional organizations, the sheer lack of appropriate breeding places does not allow them to get "proper" jobs.

This latter group of mosquitoes are therefore generally found whining and grumbling on message boards about how they have been duped by into coming here and wonder why they need to have "proper communication skills" when all that is needed is the simple ability to suck the host's blood without the latter's knowledege, a skill they feel they being "desis", are far superior at than anyone else.
:D
