vegasmanboy i just asked what i felt missing, i wasn't pointing a finger at you. I felt strange for the officer to keep "greeting card envels" as proof. i understand what you're going through and i wish you all the luck. It might happen that we're getting extra cautius n the visa doesn't get rejected at all......and even if it does, i bet you're searching for a good lawyer. May God Bless you.
And NorthYorkDesi i'd like to add something, even if vegasmanboy had a business marriage for just the visa, we cant really compare ourselves, i know you're right because i have personally waited years n years for a visa. and it irks us when someone gets the same thing by "fast" means.......but then we dont know his circumstances well enough, and lets take it like this...everyone to his own world :)

If you are actually and legally married and your spouse acknowledges this...no one can deny you an Immigrant's visa...it might take some time. I am ssuming that your wife is a Canadian Resident or a citizen....no need to go and waste money with a lawer or a consultant....however if your wife refuses, then buddy you better find another wife in India and stay back..

DO YOU REALLY MEAN THIS????

Or are you just being just a wise-ass? Buddy, let me make one thing aboslutely clear! This isn't your freaking time-pass forum where you offload your day's frustrations and bs.

You wanna be a monkey wrench? Go somewhere else. This is the second and the last time I'm warning you on your approach here, I've already received a couple of complaints about you. Next time I'll straightaway take you off this site.

NorthYorkDesi,

This is the "Ask Immigration Expert" section. People post here to ask for immigration advice, not opinions on what's right or wrong. This and other expert sections are reserved for EXPERTS OR people with a answer that can be of help to someone.

If you don't have a question or don't have some knowledge / personal exp. from which you can help someone out , DO NOT POST IN THESE SECTIONS!!

BlueLobster , My original reply was brief and just wanted to put the immigration officer's response in proper perspective. We tend to feel that they are always out to ruin us (immigrants). Here is a clear case where one of them has exercised proper judgement in denying the visa.

My friend had applied for a visitor's visa a few years ago. She was 23 , a very well educated , honest , law abiding citizen of India who wanted to visit her aunt in the GTA. Her visa was refused. She was devastated by the reason given "You fit the profile of a person who goes to Canada with the sole intention of marrying and applying for the spouse visa". I can now understand that the officer had probably seen too many cases like Vegasmanboy's.

I understand that the 'Ask immigration' forum is not the one to air your personal opinions but then the query was here and I HAD to reply.
