Please give me the number of Utpal travels too...i have a G1 but the people at drivetest want letter from RTO or from the embassy.

I have a 8yr old driving license from Mumbai.

i do nt know the phone number but i know the location. it is on the intersection of derry & airport road . Only one plaza is there with lot of desi shops. you can easily locate it.

I called them by looking up their number from yellowpages.ca and they said they dpnt provide these services anymore, so the best option is to ask your friend/relative to go to the RTO in India, get the letter of your license authentication and mail it to you, you can then take that to drivetest and go for a G2/G exam as per your experience

Hello,

I am here since June'05 and I got my G last month.

I just want to say that,

when you go for G1 test take your indian licence and show them before giving vision test at the counter and politely say that i have this licence since so many yrs and please count my driving experience. Transport office at brampton on rutherford-steels do count that .......rest upto your luck. GOOD LUCK

It's a hit-n-miss thing. I know of someone who was asked to get the verification. He went away and next day visited a different MTO office, they accepted his licence. Even at the same centre two CSR's are not consistent, one may ask for verification the other may not.

COMPLETELY AGREE ...HAPPENED WITH ME ..WENT THE FOLLOWING DAY AND GOT IT DONE ,,,

its not a hit or miss thing anymore, atleast not on the Toronto,Etobicoke centre (eglinton ave), if you are going to this centre then be ready coz they gonna ask u for the verification no matter to whichever CSR you go.i am not sure about other centres but at this centre, they all ask for it.i tried twice and twice they asked me for it.
so be prepared n good luck

I agree, etobicoke they will ask for verification. Last week i got the letter from Mumbi RTO verifying my license and they have accepted that now. I can now appear for my G test.

Ask someone back home to mail you the letter. High Comission auithentication is not required a simple letter from Indian RTO will suffice and dont believe anyone who says it wont suffice. It does.
