Hi,

This site has been very informative and after going through it I am a bit worried about the job aspects for me after landing there. Presently I am working in UAE for an MNC, and am pretty settled here. (Not married, in the pipeline.)

I have already applied for immigration to Canada and most probably would be landing there in the middle of next year.

Could you folks advice me wheather I should proceed with coming down there? I have read a lot about the lives there and would really like to know from the senior folks about the real truth in finding a job once I arrive there. I belive in the dignity of all jobs and have no perversion of any particular tasks, but the notion of leading a secure and comfortble life is paramount to me.

Looking forward to your pearls of wisdom.........

Great! (what .....don't ask me)

Hey, don't worry about anythng, just come over. Jobs are plentiful here and there are quite a few MNCs here (I do not know whether more or less than UAE). It does not matter what your professional degree is - or whether you have it or not. All they want is young and aspirant guys like you who want to shift countries even when they are well settled in one.

And yes, since you are going to land even before your immigration is approved, Canadians will just seduce you.

Hi Rawe,

I am telling you the real truth.
1. You believe in the dignity of all jobs and you have no perversion of any particular tasks. ------- ---You are most welcome, you will definitely get such a job, whatever you really assumed and meant.
2. Leading a secure and comfortable life with those jobs.----------- Sorry to say that You will NOT be able to lead..... with such jobs...... in Canada.

Good luck.

Hello folks,

I am returning to Canadian Desi after a long long time and am happy to see that may of our senior CD's are still going on strong and many new angels too have joined the group. A big round of thanks for all the CD's who have contributed to the success of this site.

As mentioned before in my post above, I have the Canadian visa stamped on my passport now (after almost 6 years!!!) and plan to do my initial landing in Toronto some time in September and return back with in a weeks time. I plan to come back to Canada after 6 months / 1 year (approx.) depending on the advice I get on this forum.

I would like to know from our folks here, is about the economic situation in Canada now for new immigrants in the light of the recession that has hit the world badly? I sure know it is bad...but I hope to receive some rays of sunlight from you all.

Thanks in advance for .........all your pearls of wisdom....
