I am looking to install wireless router to my computers.
I have a DSL from Primus that requires me to go through username and password everytime. In other words, my internet connection is not always on. I have heard that setting up wireless router for "not always on" DSL service is more work than for ones with "always on" connections. Also, my DSL modem is a one hub modem (not a router).
Can someone help me? Thanks.
Please let me know if above info is not adequate to respond. Thanks.

The setup steps would depend on the brand of your wireless router - ie Linksys, Dlink, etc. Each router comes with a Guide that can be used to configure the setup & is pretty straight forward.
You might want to provide the details of the wireless router & network you intend to have to get appropriate feedback. BTW - ensure to secure your wireless network before real use.
Cheers.
Your DSL is always on except that it requires username and password as compared to cable (like Rogers) which does not require username/password from you to connect. Your router would store and supply that username and password after you input it while setting up the router.
Linksys routers (I guess others too) comes with CD which has a setup wizard that configures your wireless connection and is pretty straight forward.

I didn’t want to start a new thread.
Lately, my computer is having a strange problem. I turn on the start button the CPU fan & Power supply fan are working but nothing is being displayed on the monitor screen. Could it be virus in my hard disk? Formatting the hard disk would solve the problem ? I open up the case all the cables & connections to the hard disk, Ram, CD drive etc looks okey. I don’t hear the usually beep when the computer boots up and loads the operating system. I am almost thinking of buying a new hard drive and then checking it reinstalling everything.
Thanks for all your suggestions in advance
