Hi Dimple,
If you are able to access internet when router is connected to Modem and computer is connected to router using wire then it is issue with wireless connectivity. If that is the case i would suggest first remove the security encryption thing and try making the wireless connection from Router. I had similar issue where the laptop would connect to internet and work fine if no security and the moment i put security on it will not work. Finally i have to install a patch on XP to make it work. Let me know if you need any further help.
Thanks
Manoj

Is your Router hardwired to the Modem?
The wireless connection is only between the Router and the Computer. The connection netween the Modem and the Router is wired.
Experts, please correct me if I am wrong.
Good luck.

At Prompt Type ipconfig /all & Hit Enter
Note Down the DNS Servers: x.x.x.x
At Prompt Type nslookup & Hit Enter
You probably will get
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds
At 'nslookup' prompt type server 4.2.2.2 & Hit Enter
> server 4.2.2.2
If your Internet Connection is alive then you;ll get
Default Server: vnsc-bak.sys.gtei.net
Address: 4.2.2.2
otherwise same error DNS request timed out

All:
My wireless is working !!!
It was a very minor issue. I tried WPA security instead of the WEP security and it worked. Apparently, my computer(s) are not compatible with WEP enabled security or I simply goofed up when I set the hexadecimal key phrase.
Anyway, it works and many many thanks to all of you for all the help.
