true.
every1 has different priority...
some people choose to back and some not..
but i guess getting canadian citizen is a huge thing..
Now is not the right time to migrate or relocate, since recession is going on.please do not leave your job under any circumstances. you can come on leave, since you have so many leave (asual, sick etc) in India. After you get job in a month or two, you can go back and resign and shift permanently.
Secondly, even if recession is over, get mentally prepared to do labour job i.e lifting 25-40 lbs which canadian Govt feel is normal even for women to lift. People after 50's also come here and do these kind of job. Even in normal job i.e pharmacist etc are supposed to lift such weight.
Carry enough funds say $50,000 to $ 100000 to survive. Imagine $50,000 to $1,00,000 which is INR 22,00,000 - 45,00,000 with which you can live like a king in India. Interest on this funds comes to say 8%-10% 2,00,000-400000 pa. How many people in India get such salary?
I feel drinking Acqua guard filtered water is safe to drink in India or else you can always buy bottled water INR 80/- per 20 litres but I suppose doctors will tell boil water and drink. How long it takes to boil water etc. That shouldn't be the reason to leave India. We boil and drink water in etobicoke since we stay in condo and are not sure as whether they are cleaning tank etc.
We have mediclaim in India, i.e you pay yearly INR 5000 and you get reimbursement for hospitalisation, surgery etc. For your information people from canada i.e Indian citizen go to India for surgery etc. Read some previous threads on canadiandesi.com.
Last but most important, if you don't have job and regular monthly salary, pollution free environment, free medical, pure drinking water etc etc is waste. Without money, it is stressful and you cannot be happy and if you are not happy............................ rest you understand.
now the ball is in your court. I am sure everybody is intelligent enough to take their own decision.
all the best to take right decision.

Hi Gopalpai,
Somehow I found your advice to be practical and funny at the same time.
Cheers.
For one , survival jobs do not comprise only of labor jobs ... but security cashier , tele marketer as well ......
For 2 all the above jobs are not very hard to get and help you pay your bills and survive in Canada till the time you are able to find a job in your functionality ... It depends on the circumstances and your will power as to when you are able to get a job in your own field ..
Some times professionals find easy money coming through these jobs and lose the zing to get back to their profession .
I would recommend to every new comer -- NOT to take survival jobs for 3 months ... scour the market for 1-2 months and you are most likely to get a job in your field if available ... try the whole of Canada ........... do not fall for survival jobs initially -- as they would prevent you from your job search and become a vicious circle ....
If after 3 months , you are not able to find a good job ..... go in for survival jobs ... at that stage , it would take less time and effort to pursue job search .... Plus if one of the spouses can do survival jobs and the other do some courses to bridge his qualifications to the ones here , that can enable the family to settle down well in coming times ...
