Where does he state that he is happy in Canada? He just said that he came back to Canada last year.
That may be due to a variety of reasons from escaping pollution, corruption, hot climate, population explosion, long work hours, vacation and thankless job environment to nice climate, free healthcare, pollutionless cities, free schooling etc...
