thanks manty for finding my comments useful. I have gone thru the same situation and sure many other fellow CDs look at the big picture and macro issue - today you can get PR converted into Citizenship which gives you the option or choice to live in Canada or India.
Finally, if you want peace of mind and Q of life it boils down to what options or choices you have
Cheers
Good Luck

Because if i continue living here i would be loosing the canadian PR and my 5 years of struggle would go waste with respect to PR.
I know its difficult to move with the family from one india to canada, specially when you dont have hell lot of problems in india.
Though it is out of topic, but i want toet say this as well. that after living in canada, it gave clear vision to compare india with other countries. I guess everyone in my situation would do.
eg today morning itself, i saw a huge pile of garbage in rainy season and people had to pass thru that way..while in canada even when the garbage trailer passes, you wont be able to know..it passed..
Regarding roads, canadian system would let you know even if the road has sharp turn, but in india you wont expect any signs even when road is under construction.
hey manty,
I was in a similar situation couple of years back and I left a good paying job in India to come here.
We made a fact finding trip to Canada when we completed our landing paperwork and got a job offer. I like to play it safe and would not have come here without a job.
I had the same feelings as you when we were contemplating to move here. One thing that I realized was that no amount of money in India can get you the basic amenities like water, clean air, safety, security that we take for granted in Canada / developed world.
We just wanted to come to Canada, try it out & if everything goes okay, get citizenship and then evaluate the conditions and decide where we want to live.
Hope that helps.
Ash

Same here.
Thx ash_canada
you are absolutely right that no amount of money can give the quality of the water, air, safety etc..
Here's what i have realized the differences after moving to India.
In India:
Advantages:
- Good Friend circle (both at work and residential complex)
- Can Njoy family events and get together.
- no problem of indian channels ( i know this reason could be meaningless for many, but i had to find many ways to get all these)
- I dont feel life boring here.
Disadvantages:
- Even i m living in top most society of the city, but still i cannot have safe drinking water.
- No good future for children
- No safety
- Corruption
- All govt systems are very poor (just to get car registration hell lot of activities are required, but when u can take ur car to raod then u see real india)
- Good hospitals are very expensive.
- No proper work-life balance
In Canada:
Advantages:
-Canada gives a lot of value to the life.
-Govt Systems are excellent and makes the life easier.
-Free health
-People work in weekdays, but weekend are only meant for enjoyment.
Disadvantages:
- Family
- Work culture is not friendly.
- Monotonous life
sant thats what i think, that would be my first choice when i'll move to canada.

Hi,
My PR is at the verge of expiry. May be I did not choose to move to canada due to circumstances, or may be I did not want to move. Main thing is you have to decide about your decision and take the responsibility of events on yourself.

Hi Manty,
I would like to comment on
Disadvantages:
- Family
- Work culture is not friendly.
- Monotonous life
- Actually you get plenty of time for your immediate family, yes we miss the extended family but with low calling calls and Skype etc there are ways to stay connected.
- Work, one has to change the attitude towards work, treat it as means to pay bills and cover your lifestyle. Once you detach yourself then you can enjoy life. There is lots to life than just focus on work and crib about the culture and stresses.
- Monotonous Life well I feel life in India is like a Rat Race, here you can pace your life and stike a balance between work and family. The mantra here is self preservation the end result is better and longer life !
Good Luck
