hello friends,
i would like to know if a person is out of Canada for more 16 months and then returning back to canada being a canadian citizen what kind of questions are expected at arrival, plz advise if any documents are needed.

Not much. Only the usual as to how long away, purpose of visit abroad, and any declarable goods. Documents - Cdn passport. That's it.

thank u dimple, but u sure they wont make a bid deal since i have been out for more than 16 months. what do i tell them why was i out for such a long time?

You know the purpose of your visit tell them honestly the truth and as long as you have Canadian Passport than they wont make big deal but they want to make sure that your purpose of visit is no way a security threat to Canada or in general. To be a safer side please provide them with backups of your purpose of visit.
