Hi friends..I am in the process of bringing my in laws over to Toronto for a visit and wanted to know if it was necessary to attach NOA. Will a T4 suffice?
I was thinking of only attaching an invitation letter, T4, pay stubs and my canadian passport copy.
What do you recommend? Also is it essential to attach bank statements?
Please advise.
It is better to attach NOA.
Why don't you want to?
NOA is better than T4.
Bank statements are also important.

Your list looks good. If you attach T4 slips (or NOA) for the last 2 years, you wouldn't need bank statements. The T4 slips (or the NOAs) for the last 2 years show that your income/job is steady since a while...Good luck!

I had attached the following for the Visitor Visa for my parents and In laws
a. Notice of assessment and T4'sfor myself and my spouse
b. Bank Statements
c. Job letter ( apppointment letter / confirmation letter any one will do)
d. Copy of Canadian passport ( or PR and indian passport).
e. Copy of deed of house ( ie if you have your own house or alt rent receipt).
Also look for the format of invitation letter posted elsewhere on this site and modify for your needs but make sure you include the following points
a. They ( the visitors) shall have sufficient funds for their stay but in case you are also willing to bear their expenses.
b. They shall have sufficient vistior medical insurance ( once you say this it may help avoid medical for 65+ visitors)
Thank you so much for all your information, I will contact the CRA for my NOA today and let you guys know how it all goes
You should be able to print a copy from the CRA website, if you have signed up for MyAccount access
