Also try Mobilicity...
I tried Wind but their networks did not work out well at my locations.
Make sure you check their receptions (on your friends phones) at places like your home & work before you buy.
I am now happy with Mobilicity, I sometimes have network problems but I think I can take that much inconvenience for the cheap price I am paying for the service.
I used to pay $ 40 per month to Rogers, and I still pay $ 40 to Mobilicity but I now get everything unlimited, so I don't need to count daytime minutes, long distance minutes & text messages etc etc....
Their Holiday offers are really good deal http://mobilicity.ca/plans/
They will also give you $ 10 referral bonus if you were referred by their existing customer.
Hope this helps.

I currently have Rogers plan for couples.... this plan was working great for me until last month, when some of the discounts expired along with the 3 yr contact i had with them...... so expiry of contract turned out to be both good and bad news for me.... good because now i am free to go with any provider... bad because i lost the incredible discounts i was enjoying so far (i was paying about $40/month, ALL IN for the two phones)... i looked around and cant find any matching plan available right now .... hence the need for me to ask this board..... if you guys could suggest any plan that might fit my need, would be appreciated....
My needs:
- 2 cell phone plans (between me and my wife)
- Voice plans only.
- i dont need phone, because we have really good phones already
- mojority of the usage is between two of us....
- Good coverage is important to me.... i heard some bad reviews in this area, on some of the providers like windmobile,
- because of the minimal usage outside of "between us", i would like to keep the cost as low as possible.
- would you suggest going for a contract or "month to month".
Thanks

Here s what I consider to be the cheapest .. not sure about being able to use GSM phones though .... but the phone cost could be recovered very soon .
Public Mobile : $15/mo unlimited province wide calling .
Telus Prepaid : One number unlimited calling $7.5 / mo ... A member explained this - to credit the phone every month with $7.5 only and enjoy 1 number unlimited calling for the month . For other numbers the charges are v reasonable 20c/m .

Thank you Fido,
I will give a call to 'Public Mobile' and check things out... not sure about their coverage.... does anyone have an idea about their coverage? i dont mind paying roaming (which i would with any provider) as long as my phone stays on wherever i go....
any word on other providers? e.g. fido, koodo etc....

I just got a suggestion via PM to provide more info on my location.... thanks...
I live in Brampton and most of my usage will be within GTA..... i assume the reception/coverage would be good within GTA...what i am concerned about is coverage in the outskirts of GTA...or may be even farther .....
