The Canadian media is making (paid to make) a big deal of this event. Yesteryear's actors like Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Diya Mirza are shown on TV as big stars of Bollywood.
IMO, these awards is just another sponsored event by Chopras and Johars to add one more trophy to their long list of other "sponsored trophies".
I am not even going to watch it on $ 1 DVD.
I think most people in the event will be coming from South (states) as most Canadians I speak to ain't going.
I still wonder if they are really really 'sold out' or its just a hype.
I saw 2009 and 2010 on ROD recently and enjoyed it thoroughly....will definitely watch on $ 1 DVD !!!

But one thing is sure, Indian Film Industry or India is getting good positive coverage. That matters!!
