Hello all out there,
AS i am going to apply for CANADA Immigration, consultant told me that, i must have to apply before july. he gave me reason for doing so is point system is going to change in July. Is it really so ?

Iam also seeking advise for eligibility criteria, Consultant told me that, if i get 7 band in IELTS, then only i reach to 67 points, which is minimum for eligibility to file my application. Currenty i have 5 years job enperience, ummarried. I also have graduate degree.

Secondly, he also suggest me to file my application before july and within 6 months submit my IELTS score card, but if it's below 7 band then my application will not be consider.

please give me advise considaring above points.-+

On the website there is no Information as such, I am not sure how the consultant came across this information , Most of the time they would say so just to get the clients ..As for IELTS it isnt important for calculation, It depends on your usage of english and the ability to read write .I didnt give IELTS and got my waiver ..All you would need is to provide a proof of the usage of language.

1) How does he know the points system will change ? If the points are changed you will be judged based on those points . I don't think they will keep one cutoff mark if you have applied before some date.

2) You will able to know your points,
Graduation 20 + age 10 + 21 exp which gives to 51 , so the consultant is right in the way that you have to prove the 16 points ,

3) IELTS has to be taken before the Inital assesment , the whole point here is that you need to prove that your language ability is high,

You can also look into other options like how to imporve your score

I would sugest you to refer the government site http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK which gives all the information about immigration point system etc.
To my best knowladge there is no talk of cahnging points system but we do have elections for federal govt. on 28th june and new govt will be in on 1st july which is canada day.if the liberals loose which they may ther could be some major changes to the immigration.
