I used to work in an Italian firm that used to hire Eastern Europe people and Chinese who did not know a word of English.

Of course, I have also worked with Gora's. Some Gora's are not as friendly as we think they would be. Some donot like our style of working / talking etc.. and so seldom are close to us. Besides Gora's and Gori's have their own very personal problems which are very very complicated and hence they try to spend most times on that.

I have also worked with Gora's abd Gori's in the Gora heartland Kitchener. They speak so softly that you always have to say " Pardon". Gori's never showed any special attention to me though I was very fond of 2 or 3 Gori's who looked great. I was friends with a Cuban (who came by boat when he was a kid) but I could never really get close to Gora's and Gori's.

In Canada, I have always been close to our church pentecostal group. So most of our weekends were at someone's house or a retreat where we do pot luck. The Chruch pentecostal is mostly composed of south indians and some converted north Indians. So with this kind of church group, we donot speak about Canada / racism etc.. but more about The Bible, job oppertunities etc.. Therfore I did not have much oppertunity to be close to Goras and Gori's outside my office.

All my children teachers are white and school staff most of them are whites. I find them very polite and well mannered. I have never found them gossiping or talking/stabbing behind back. They keep away from such people.

I think I read taht you had said that white teachers are school are very unfriendly and racist and that by complaining, you had sent some of them to a different school.

Agreed that there are few bad apples in every color but your above statement contradicts with what you had posted before.

Again, not challening you or trying to insult you, but just pointing out difference.

Response to OP . None ... Never felt comfortable due to culture clash ... and presumably nor did they ...

Eating . living habits are different .. hence the distances .

They may say Hi to you and wish you Merry Christmas but do not expect to celebrate picnics or festivals or dinners with them
