You know about three weeks ago I met a person who used to contribute to CD till about a few months ago. He showed me several of his articles on immigration published in The South Asian Observer, The Toronto Star, The Toronto Sun (I think I posted this last on one of the threads)and other periodicals. He is an elderly person, around 50. He is now doing quite well but still thinks the system is all screwed up.
You should actually go on CBC and tell them how bad things are here for immigrants. My elder brother studied here but couldn't get a job when he graduated so he left for the States and is doing quite well there. My sister graduated a few years ago, but due to an acute shortage of teachers then was able to score a good job here. I still go to university.
My Dad never made it as an engineer here.He studied in India.

Let's wait for the diagnosis on Ontario and hope it's a more comprehensive one including South Asians, Chinese, Koreans, Philipinos etc.

i do not have first hand experience but I am told by students who have lived in small communities outside the GTA area that the mainstream white population lumps blacks, Guyanese, Trinidadians, Indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans, Bangladesh all together.

Some of my white friends from the Brampton area say that Brampton is turning into "Bramladesh" (take off on Bangladesh and lumping Indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis together - for them all the four aforementioned nationals are the same)

If I am a man , I have guts to face any situation and interest to see and explore the world I will take up the immigration.

Canada is a great country which is far beyond the reach of India. This is due to the dignity of labour. Needless to say there are many such countries in this world .

I see sky is the limit for the man who is mentally tough. Don’t expect your father-in -law is here to give you free every damn thing that you demand. Go and help your self.

Only area where canada is far beyond the reach of India is governance rest it lags behind india in every aspect.

Before arriving here i felt canada is great country which is far beyond the reach of India but it is not so.

I heard of this quote: " All that glitters is not gold". I have now experienced it. I am surprised how you have come to the above conclusion even after being in this country.Have not been to india in last 3-4 yrs...?

Canada can not compete with good private firms of India. Take the example of private banking in India. I found the service standards of ICICI and HDFC bank much much ahead than TD bank which is the biggest bank.

I was working with Accenture in one of the project and believe me i have seen the IT guys over here which are no way comparable to the IT guys of Accenture back in India or other indian IT guys.

Telecom sector is fantastic in India with lots of private firms and much much cheaper with excellent 24 hrs call center facility. Bell canada, I am sorry to say does not provide service after 5 pm.


The above are just few examples.

Conclusion:
Comparing both countries is not correct. However, if you are dealing with govt firms Canada is better place to get good service however, if you dealing with pvt firms india is much better place to get better customer services.
