people moving out while imigrants come in is happening here in the UK. its the organisations answer to ever increasing labour costs. hire in cheap IT consultants, doctors etc etc.

what will happen is that costs of things in countries will reach a equilibruim. look at house and land prices everywhere. up up up, in canada, uk, india, dubai, australia etc etc etc.

imigration is the new slave labour, companies get richer and the poorer get poorer. best make you money now before you get swamped un the crowd.

money makes money, if you have bad credit you can only get money at a higher rate of interst, make sense?????

I know this section is about jobs, so can anyone recommend a good recruitment company in the BC or winnipeg area. I would like to get in contact with a company that Canadians use and no imigration specialist companies. Their only here to make money on peoples misery.

send it.

hope all are well:cheers:

chahal, not to worry. i don't want to add fuel to the fire, but to tell you all the truth, as soon as i left canada, my financial problems were over.

in canada i worked as a hotdog vendor, carpenter's assistant, plumber's assistant, telemarketer (but not with the GLOBE, amritanand, that wasn't me), teaching assistant at a university, research assistant, door to door salesman, donut maker in a bakery, customer service insurance rep and a variety of other jobs. i also had a short stint with the Gov't of Quebec (Publications du Quebec) and Health and Welfare Canada.

when i left Canada I had racked up a considerable debt and had nothing to my name. i was treading water in Eastern Europe and Africa, but once in Asia I found my place.

I bought a car in the second year in Asia and my house the year after, in cash (there are no mortgages here).

I am in my late 30s and am saving for my pension now. There is no health care here, state education or pension plan, so I have a long road ahead of me. But I am building something, so am very patient.

It is unfortunate that I could not do the same in my own country, BUT THE CONDITIONS WERE SIMPLY NOT THERE TO DO SO.

i have heard it all in Canada: the French complain that the English get all the good jobs; the Anglos complain that the immigrants get all the good jobs because of Political Correctness (you may not agree... i don't agree... but that's the perception of many, believe it or not!) and the immigrants complain that the native born canadians are getting all the jobs.

the fact is that there are simply too few jobs to go around; people are turning against each other.

don't give in to hate or negativity, as it will not help you.

positive thinking is the best; greet adversity with a smile.

but when it's time to give up the struggle, be prepared to cut your losses and get out.

no one will help and even your closest friends and family will be there to say "told you so" or tell you what you 'should have done'.

in the end it's up to you to live with the choices you have made.

you want to know something funny? my friends and family think i'm crazy for not living in "the best country in the world".... but I KNOW i've made the right choice. i hope you will have the same satisfaction.

cheers

Confusion, confusion

WHO SHOULD WE LISTEN TO???????????????????

Yourself and common-sense. If you're getting an impression that Canada is worse than a 3rd world country by reading someone's opinion in a top 10 format, you'd better stay put in the U.S. At the same time, if you're getting the impression from someone of a Utopia where angels will greet you at the airport and fly you to your 10 grand a day job, you should also stay put in the U.S.

Read between the lines here before getting "scared to death", buddy. And use your common sense.

Some of Canuck's comments

Quote:

Foreign countries tend to respect and value human life.

Canada beats us down and expects us to take it because 'it's the great Canada"

So exactly, who/what is this "Canada" who are perpetrating this? Are lake ontario and the fields of saskatchewan conspiring against immigrants? Or is there a secret society of "Natives of the highest order" working against us? Or maybe its a some sort of cult formed by the original immigrants.

Quote:

Here in Canada, it is walking zombies.

A crazy and perverse rat race, survival of the fittest.

An old man can drop to his knees suffering a heart attack in downtown Toronto and NOBODY will come to his aid.

BS. I've lived in the states longer than I have in Canada and Canadians as a people are a lot more helping than Americans in situations like these. Pick any country in the world and I can show you newspaper articles on how someone died on the street and nobody helped. If you extrapolate that to dissect the attitude of a country, well...so much for your education. A close friend's Dad died in a brutal bus accident in Bombay recently, the bus basically drove over him. Nobody did a thing, some watched and some walked by as he bled to death! So now, if I take that and say that India has no culture, its a rat race, people are zombies, would you agree with me? Of course not.

And what's this walking zombies stuff? If you can get this over the top to make a point, you're out to spew hatred and vent frustration. And you coulnd't care less whether that misleads others or not.

And these points in addition to the numerous factual errors pointed out by others in the Top 8 list. Sure, Canada has a laundry list of issues, but so does every country. The list provided by canuck aka Dr. Raza is basically a generalization that in some format will apply to every country you make it for.

My Canadian journey so far has been nothing short of wonderful. And although I have suffered some setbacks, my impression of Canada is about as different from Canuck's as can be. But you should be wise enough to equate this to how your experience will be. Maybe you could be somewhere in the middle.

One last point, you say in another thread

Quote:

Living in USA and in a situation where GC looks like a distant dream, left with just an option of going to Canada and reading a post like that is a shot unimaginably painful to bear.

So the U.S. is not exactly bending over backwards to accomodate you. Canada is giving you a decent shot at least and you yourself made a conscious decision to accept the challenge. It baffles me then why you would come with this attitude that you're going to a third world country based on the negative opinions you hear. If that's how you feel, why not choose a third option while you still have time?

Hello Dips

I am leaving Canada permanently on May 27

thank GOD

I have been desperately trying to leave for a few years now, but have not had the opportunity to find work abroad.

But thanks to the wonder of God I have obtained a job in the U.S. and have obtained a work visa.

I am a foreign medical graduate.

God bless

Canuck3000 (very soon to be EX-Canuck3000 !)

Conclusion: Canada is a dead end.

How many such articles do you want on the USA? :D

To use the above to say that the system needs some changes is fair, to use the above to say that Canada is a dead end is nonsense. You can pull up hundreds of such articles about ANY country in the world. Just say google.

Hey, if you're moving to the USA because Canada didn't work out for you, well and good. I don't think anybody's stopping you and you're doing what's best for you.

But Canada at the same time has been a wonderful home for thousands of immigrants like myself. Your opinions don't work for us.
