If it is a typo then it is repeated again by him in his FAQ statments.
Here is another snip

Now, in 2005, countries around the world are approaching or have already approached (or even surpassed) the standards of Canada. So combined with the problems that exist in Canada today (that I have outlined in my 'Top 8' list above), it makes no sense to immigrate to Canada in this new era.

Which is more difficult to believe? That it was an error or that he had a motive in mind, so mysterious and ulterior, that neither of us can even guess what it is?

Do you purposely try to ignore what you see or are you genuinely missing to notice that the letter is time-stamped separately and is distinct from the FAQ which is a separate section altogether.
Is it not possible that he could have posted the first part , the letter, in June 2004, making the typo to read 2005, and added the FAQ later in 2005?? Which is more difficult to believe? That it was an error or that he had a motive in mind, so mysterious and ulterior, that neither of us can even guess what it is?

I don't understand why you think the email is form the author of the article in question? The author is @Carribeanmedicine.com. So what in that makes it similar to the address of the sender whose email you have quoted. Just curious, because I do not see the link.
BTW, did you write to him commenting on the article that you think he has written back to you? Again only curious, because I don't understand how else he could get your email address.
I do agree the second email is in bad taste and whoever wrote it is an asswipe. Just ignore such dipshits!

My first comment regarding the 'posting date' was also not to start any controversy but was in a very lighter mood as I also believe it was a typo...

However, you must have noticed that I wrote that the hate emails are MOST LIKELY from the author of the article and the reason I think this is because as you would see from another snip of his post that he is doing residency in USA.

I see some people are getting shot down for putting Canada down.
As a member rightly said in this chain, life is expensive everywhere. Has anyone looked at the UK? Income tax, National Insurance contributions, Council tax, duty on fuel etc, VAT etc etc etc....
This is further compounded by immigration into this already overcrowded island. That’s why many citizens who are born here are looking to get out. Movements to Australia, USA, Canada, Spain and even back to India (for the older generation who are using their equity to buy plots of land in Punjab) is not uncommon anymore.
It is the right for people to have a passing shot at Canada on this site, but it is up to the other people to decide whether or not it’s a case of “sour Grapes”.
I do well from this site by leaving my e-mail address as I am getting some responses from interested recruiters and people who can offer positive advice on how to get established in Canada (and I will carry on doing so, as it is a form of cost effective advertising and networking).
Again I do genuinely feel that you can’t just move to Canada without a job offer, as life not working is more expensive than working time. This again is the reason why it is important to go on a fact finding holiday first.
The world is a more mobile place these days but people from other countries don’t see that as they are looking to move out, other people from abroad want to move back in. e.g. the land prices in Punjab has dramatically seen a rise. It can be better to invest is places where you wouldn’t even consider looking at. E.g. places like Hungary, the old West Germany, Mexico, Brazil etc etc.
A little antidote for you all – When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Ps still looking for a date with a lovely lady for my holiday out in Canada in September.
pps also say hello to the doctor if you see him
Though I'll add a few smilies as my words of wisdom can be a bit teadious sometimes, but all left in good faith.
KEEP THE NETWORKING HAPPENING, its the best cure for being stuck in a rut.
