And btw, if you look in the phonebook, there are literally hundreds of immigrant doctors listed, many of them first generation desis.
Not to say that the process is easy, but how did these guys become doctors if their chances were about "5%"?

Deep down inside the desi's living in cities like Mississauga know that they have no future.
That is why they react they way they do.
It's funny how the 'Administrator' of this website defends Canada, when I have read perhaps hundreds of messages right on this forum about the nightmare associated with immigration to Canada.
People in Canada are not happy. They are lonely, depressed and living pay check to pay check, in despair, willing to leave at any moment IF they could.
Mississauaga (a city I actually lived in for a while) is extremely expensive . . . yet it's a dump. Drive around it is like a ghost town. Nobody even says hi to anyone.
I remember 5 years ago reading an article that stated that every year around 100,000 Canadians leave Canada for the U.S. each year. I was able to find that article recently, it is here:

How many more leave Canada to go to other countries? Ever wonder why the population of Canada doesn't really increase that much, despite the fact that the immigration system desperately recruits 250,000 foreigners per year!?!
Immigration to Canada is a scam. It is international fraud. How many hundreds of thousands of lives have to be ruined, shattered and destroyed, before something is done?
I do see a growing trend though, of people being brave and telling the world about the realities of Canada.
Internet websites are propping up, I have found four such already:

Well, I am leaving Canada permanently in 6 days.
All 'Administrator' and others in Canada will be left with is a country with a discriminatory and dishonest immigration system, with out of control cost of living, health care crisis, very high taxes, a money hungry government, no culture, freezing temperatures and no jobs.
Goodbye Canada forever. Thank God.

Oh well, amongst those that do qualify, some end up giving foreign trained professionals a bad name..........

So even if you tell them you're happy in Canada, they say No NO!! You're not, you just don't know it. Mississauga a dump?? hehe. Your hatred for Canada has obviously gotten the better of your sanity.
I think your attitude is becoming more and more clear. You have absolutely no interest in guiding people reasonably, you want revenge. Revenge at any cost!
And look at the hypocrisy of all this, you're going on and on like a broken record on how desis don't participate in politics here. And you're moving to the U.S.

Wow! Look at the bloated sense of self-importance! You look at your departure as some sort of a catastrophe for Canada, the end of an era, almost like an ice-age to stone-age transition.
To me personally, your departure is of zero-consequence, neither happy nor sad about it. There may be some truth in your bitter experiences with Canada, but I don't appreciate you bucketing the whole world in your experience. If you're happier in the states, hey, well and good for you. Nothing wrong with that.
But in your reality-distortion state of mind, you view anybody who is happy in Canada as some sort of a co-conspirator, a defender of Canada. When I'm telling you I'm happy here, you're telling me I should be miserable

Well said, BL...........after all these years of success in the US, the Indian American community has just one Congressman (Bobby Jindal) in the House of Representatives.
Talking about racial biases, the entire US Senate (of 100 Senators) has just a single black Senator.........its otherwise an exclusively white Senate.
In Canada, by comparison, if I'm not mistaken, we have at least 2 members of Parliament from the GTA who are of Indian origin. There are no doubt a few from the Greater Vancouver area. The federal minister of Health is a first generation Indian immigrant, and the provincial minister of transportation in Ontario is also of Indian origin. Certainly, someone opining that Canada does not have minority representation in politics is mistaken.........
