PLEASE don't delete this post.
I am not trying to be a pest or disrespectful.
I am just trying to analyze the influences on the Desi's on this forum.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wait! There IS a future in Canada.
DAS-FX and CRENSHAW do have a future.
DAS-FX who chose his screen name based on a rap music group from the 1990's
and
CRENSHAW who chose his screen name based on a predominantly black section of Los Angeles, California
both seem to be quite influened by black 'American' culture. (Even though they sing the praises of white Canada.)
So I guess the future of such Desi's in Canada is quite clear:
Black influenced brown desi's who are in their late 20's yet still live at home with their parents, are virgins, and live in a country run mostly by white politicians.
It is a great future indeed.
What a mess, I am outta here.

One more thing:
I find it hilarious when Desi's like Crenshaw, Das-FX and BlueLobster defend Canada.
They will never be considered 'Canadians'. Do they not know that?
Their entire life, when they are asked 'so where are you from' and they reply "I am from Canada!" the person asking the question will say:
"No, where are you from Originally"
Yes you all are Canadian citizens, BUT your Nationality is not Canadian!
It is Indian or Pakistani or Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi.
If this is not true then why oh why start and/or read and post on a CanadianDESI website??
Just start a CanadianCHAT website!
But NO!, they start a website specifically for DESI's.
Many people who read and post on this website are doing so from India! So it's really an Indian website.
But DAS-FX said in a previous post that 'he has NO loyalty to India".
Hmmmm. . . .
Then why on Earth read and post on a DESI website?
Just pretend to be a Canadian-Canadian and post on white Canadian forums.
Reason: because white Canadians don't accept you. They look at you with racist eyes and think that you are inferior.
Bottom line: these Desi's living in Canada are a mess.
They are not really desi's, many of them cannot even speak their mother tongues.
They are not Canadians. Were never and will never be. YES, they are Canadian citizens. But never Canadians. Dream on if you think a Desi will ever become Prime Minister of Canada.
They try to act black (some of them) but are very very far from being that also.
So what are they?
-----------------------------------------
What are they?
Hi Crenshaw,
it's ok. I can take it.
It's funny you mention the Caribbean. I went to school there!
So yes, I did live in the Caribbean for 2 years.
I apologize for the virgin remark. But most (perhaps not you) of these Desi computer geeks are.
And most (not you as you have said) DO live at home with their parents even though they are well into their late 20's.
Again, it's not a fight I am looking, just trying to understand why oh why the loyalty to just a useless country.
Thanks
Besides Mr Crenshaw, DAS_FX and Mr Blue Lobster ( I like your insignia), I wonder what Mr. Ujjal Dosanjh, Mr. Nadir Mohamed (CEO of Rogers Wireles) and Dr. Sunil Patel ( president of Canadian Medical Association upto last year) have to say about Canada.
Any guesses?

reporter
Recently a Punjabi lady from Montreal came to campus and spoke about her experiences in Canada. her name is Manishi Sagar, the founder, CEO and president of the Kinderville group of schools in Montreal. Despite the fact that she speaks horrendous French (but expletes beautiful Punjabi "gaalis" she grew from scratch to be nominated one of the Top Women Entrepreneurs of Canada. She was full of praises for Montreal as it gave her the chance to realise something that she couldn't do in India.
Amazing lady. If any of you get the chance to attend one of her seminars- please do.
And then there is Deepa Mehta- who gave a beautiful discourse about ten days ago at U of T on her movies Fire, Water and Earth. Says that because of Canada, she is what she is.Funny thing is the audience was predominantly white. I could make out only 6 other desis amongst a crowd of about 60-70.
I am sure if you look, there are plenty of people who would say Canada is where it's at- but maybe a select few visit Canadian desi.

hey guys,
What's wrong with staying with parents or being virgin?
Isn't that part of Indian culture? Family has always been the strong point of Indians, hasn't it? It has also been one of the major reasons of success of Indians in the world today.
Thanks.
