It is good to see people actively participating in a thread meant to advise immigrants lined up at CHC Delhi or any other CHC offices. But in the process you are forgetting about people who are already in Canada and trying to figure out path to success. After reading all failure examples, it is discouraging to that person who is trying his best to upgrade and be prospective employee in field of choice.
Take my example, I am due to start attending college sept2005 for PG program. But after reading racism, failure reports and professionals abandoning Canada makes me rethink my decision to further study and run for a good job in my choice of field or abandon Canada.

Trust me pal, I don't need any advice from you when it comes to my career. I'm very sure I've spent more years in university than you and can guide my career well.

It wasn't directed to me, but in no way he sounded like a moderator of a discussion forum.

:D . Opps..your bitterness against being overlooked is indeed showing.

Lets see...I'm happy with my life, where I am, etc...
You on the other hand...are miserable as we can see from your many posts. Lashing out all around along with othe 'highly educated' 'architects' and 'doctors'. Hopefully not many people are learning from the same universities on how to deal with adversity like you guys are. Please tell me where you received yuour so called 'education' so we all know what to avoid.

You actually have to change countries to be in the same place people like me and bl are already in.

so yeah, i apologise...you have enough misery to deal with until october(hopefully what follows after that time will solve something).

Hi Charlie

Thats what desi's are trying to make people understand. Though there are success examples, however, those are very few and majority of the qualified people inspite of all hard work , patience have failed.

One of my friend was doing extremely well in ME for 6 years, came here as electronics engineer from india. Now into his 3rd year, is having a permanent job but not well paid. The employer initially allowed him to do some course during select weekdays ( His study is not available part time or during weekends). After completing 50% of the course the employer has now asked him to be available all 5 days a week or loose the job. The guy had to ultimately leave studies in between.

Now that guy i know has extraordinary personality and communication skills. You can compare the personality of that guy more or less like that of Rahul Dravid.

He after getting his citizenship is planning to go back to ME.

This is sad part of this country and its a fact.

"Spent" may be the wrong word there bud, I'd suggest "wasted".

Thats what people say when they can't go to university themselves.....sour grapes....:p BTW, did you finish your high school yet?..:D

Now there's a high-school "joke" :D. I appreciate your attempts to help prove my point above.

I had told another person in your position to avoid such topics once the decision is made to press on.

However, the decision is still yours to make as you know yourself best.

This is one of the most disturbing things I have heard and keep hearing from other sources , some from people where I work.

They took a loan to study and left the course midway when the place where I work advertised perm jobs (starting at 16+ and going upto 20 - 25 over the course of time + Benefits for self and family among others)

When asked why they went this way they say that a permanent JOB is more important inCanada and that they didnt see the point of continuing edication when there was no guarantee of a job in their field of study.

And my first reaction is "How can you say for sure even before the course ends"?

I still think its is very important to upgrade your qualifications in Canada. Do it and do it well and complete it.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

You have something against people with who worked hard to get some education, may be you never got a chance or you were just not capable enough.

It takes a lot to go to the university I went to bro, you don't have to avoid it, they will avoid you....trust me, you can take my word on that one.

Atleast I have the capabilities of changing the countries. do u?

As I said before, you don't have to worry about my future, you better worry about yours, may be that'll do some good to you.
