Thats incorrect, however i do agree with you that they speak the same sentences repeatedly, but then nothing in this world is perfect,as long as i enjoy crisp clear voice quality, which incidently Reliance's stropngest selling point,I'm happy with it.

https://www.relianceindiacall.com/Canada/phonebook_new1.asp

here are some more time saving tips from reliance,SmartCalling :

You don't have to listen to all of our IVRs before you listen to your near & dear one's voice!

You can skip any of Reliance India Call's Interactive Voice Announcements (or IVRs) by simply pushing any of the keys from 1 - 9.

What's more, Reliance India Call has also introduced host of new dialing options to bring you a great India calling experience.

Dial " 0 " for Redial: Enter "0" after you are prompted for the destination number. This automatically redials the last dialed phone number.

Dial " # " for Instant Dial: Use the "#" key after dialing your PIN, Destination number or Easy Dial code and get connected instantly.

Dial " * " For Erase: Use the " * " key to erase your last dialed digit. Now you can correct your wrong entry immediately.

E.g. If you dialed 007 instead of 01, all you have to do is dial " * * " and 1

Dial " * # " for Erase All: Use the " * # " key to erase the entire dialed entry (PIN, Destination number or Easy Dial code). You can then re-enter the number.

E.g. If you dialed 007 instead of 700, all you have to do is dial " *# " and then dial 700

Enjoy!!

I use Comwave. But I am not sure if I like it. I use it because it is convenient. But I do not like the big bills that I get. Probably I am talking too much. If anyone else can post their experience with Comwave, it would be very useful.

I used Comwave as a backup to Reliance. I have been a Reliance customer from day 1 of their operations in Canada. However, for the past 2-3 months sometimes the calls are not just going through. So, I use comwave. But, if I have to choose between Reliance or Comwave I would choose Reliance because of the quality and lower cost.

On Comwave, apparantly there is a membership charge of $5.99 - I wasn't aware it existed. I noticed that in my last bill and so I promptly cancelled Comwave and moved over to G3. I used G3 as well in the past and it's not too bad.

Membership in Comwave is 99 cents and not 5.99.

I just registered for COMWAVE yesterday with a membership of $1.95.. And I will be paying less than 9 cents to call any cities in India (I have a friend who works for comwave, who could get me the flat rates throught india to 8.7 cents per minute)

Yet to see how good the quality is.

Does anybody having recent experience with Comwave, share it here please?

Let me know, if you need anything from my side.

Thanks,

- Hem

I have been using long distance for more than a year. I like the ease of use. Quality is okay. But I am paying too much per minute - 13.9 cents per minute and therefore I was thinking of switching to startec.

I was also paying 13.9 cents to comwave. I called them and said that startec was giving 9.9 cents for 2.95 monthly fee. Comwave agreed to give me the same. So now I have monthly fee 2.95 and 9.9 cetns per minute in comwave. Maybe you should also call comwave.
