U were either born or raised in the country , took advantage of the system and now are scared of the systems of the same country.
People who are scared of getting OCI should try to get citizenship of greenland.. Very large country , no people.. no risk of anything happening caused by other ppl..

Maybe the systems are indeed so bad that one would get afraid of them..as for born and raised, is it really a choice people have ?

Dude,
Desi's always take pride in bashing their motherland at any given oppertunity. Once they come to Canada and see all the industrializations, Cars , neat roads etc... they think they are in heaven and that India is a living hell, not to mention that these are the same people who spent a majority of their lives in India and fully used their system.

Did they have a choice but to use the system they had ?

I laugh when people think that India is like lebenon/ Beiruit, Somalia, Iraq , Sri Lanka or other countries. Even today the World bank has said that the Indian growth is irreversible. I have been in constant touch with my friends in India through Google chat (at all times of the day) and all vouch for India's growth and stability. In fact many of my classmates who stuck on to India during the hard times are now reaping big. Most of them earn 2- 3 lakhs a month-before taxes (in south India)and this is without the so called overseas experience.
-------

Do really 'most of them' earn that much a month ? And is that the only thing which makes you happy ?
