when you move within canada, do you have to inform cgitoronto about the address change. i could not find anything on the website or maybe i missed it. thanks for your help.

Don't know about PIO, but for OCI this is the procedure:

IV. In case of change of address/occupation
In case of change of address/occupation, new set of OCI documents will not be issued. The applicant may take a print out of the new address/occupation after online submission and keep for record purposes. No fee shall be charged from the applicant.

That brings me to the second issue. I filled up the on-line form and all the time it says 'The information you have provided does not match our records'. Anyone has ever faced this. What next ? Is it mandatory to inform them of the address change ?

First you have put the information that you applied with when you got your OCI card. If it is not matching, then it will say data is not matching their records.

I did that. The exact same info that I had provided with the application and the info on my OCI. Any combination and it says " do not match ".

OK it worked. After the place of birth they have written IND. I entered this and it was fine. Thanks. The online form after verifying the info also said 'it is not mandatory to change the OCI documents".

Hi Iceberg,

I am going to India in couple of weeks and I just got my passport with new address. My oci has old address on it. Do I have to fill the addrres change online? Is it mandatory to do or can I do it later. If I do it now will it effect my travel plan?
