Are you ready to take rsponsibility of everyone who drink beer or wine publicly in the picnic? Do you have any idea about legal problems you may face if something bad happen because of consuming alcohol in picnic arranged by Canadian Desi?

And I think we all know what ethical behavior is, so you don't have to tell us what is ethical and what is not.

Thanks and regards.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Desis drink to get drunk, not to enjoy - accept that!! And that's when things go wrong! Do you think people do not or have not consumed light alcoholic drinks in public places in Canada?? Can you quote a SINGLE incident when "something bad" has happened and there have been "legal problems"??? As I said, it is a problem of fastidious and puritanical attitudes that desis bring with them and then stay with them - one who drinks is a "bad" person....

If you are talking this that means you have not seen DRUNK goras. Here, I can not give you example of drunk people got into truble and sued the host and received millions of $$$.... to mention such examples this site's web space would be too small.

I can tell you one thing though.. no person of Indian origin have sued host for their own drinking problems. So it is not only Desis... Goras also drink to get drunk.

The person who drink is not a bad person the person get drunk is a bad person and you can find such persons in all societies regardless race or color.

Further this thread is about CD picnic... not about drinking habit.... so leave this thread in it's original form.

Thanks and regards.

wisernow, i wonder why you posted this comment. If you are so keen on drinking then you could have bought you own stuff without anyone knowledge sit in the corner and enjoy your drinks unless you need company.
But then i do not think anyone is going to take responsibility for your actions. Like the saying goes "you swim alone, you die alone"

It is unjust to pass comment on desis. Most of them against it is because they are responsible individuals. I am sure they would like to enjoy their drinks in a nice atmosphere. As you know the rule 'if you drink do not drive and if you drive do not drink'
So ironic that your screen name is 'wisernow'

Having photos section on CD is good idea. In the first meeting we didn't took any pictures. This time we can do that. For now only I can upload the pictures, but I will comeup with an interface where user can upload pictures. I might need to watch for the space and bandwidth usage.

We alread have videos section on this site.

Thanks
