My friend is visting US for 3 weeks with his family. On way back, he will be buying a laptop for me (from Costco). As per my understanding, he will be eligible for $750 exemption (stay more than 7 days) for each person and would not be required to pay any duty or taxes while crossing the border at Bufffalo. Is this a correct understanding?
