I need some help. I will be applying for PIO but I haven't surrendered or canceled my Indian passport although I have never used it after becoming a canadian citizen (in 2004). I want to know if there is only 20 dollar fee to surrender the pass port or $168 and do we go to the cosulate to surrender the passport.

You have to pay $20 CAD fee/passport to Indian consulate to cancel your Indian passport first. Then only you can apply for PIO.

Thanxs for the quick reply. Do u have to go to the consulate/agency or you can post the passports.
