Dear All,

I have got my Canadian Passport and wanted to know the exact procedure for obtaining OCI, as I got different answers from BLS.

1) Can I apply for OCI before Surrender Certificate or it can be done together?
2) I was assuming first I need Surrender Certificate and later I can apply for OCI?

Any inputs will be appreciated.

When I started OCI, I needed to get the surrender certificate first and then the OCI.
