It all depends whether you wish to consider citizenship as a right or a privilege.
If it is a privilege , we must respect it and not do anything which might make us loose it .... same thing as a driver's license.

You already have laws and court to deal with people committing unlawful activities. This is extra bonus punishment from a minister in the government to a dual citizen apart from what is given in the court.
You cannot lose your Canadian citizenship unless you are a dual citizen irrespective of the conviction.

Does not matter - as long as it is applied to ALL citizens irrespective of their dual nationality.
Is a single national convict any less criminal than a dual nationality convict?
