If you are from India and do not have a 2 year old drivers license, you have to wait for 8 months (that too if you get trained from a regular driving school, else you have to wait for 12 months) to get your G2. Whereas in US you can get the drivers license right away if you qualify the knowlegge test and road test. Is US government less concerned about the safety of its citizens than Canada?
Canada claims to be the land of immigrants but it has some of the most immigrant unfriendly rules!!!!!
It may be stupid, but that's the way it is. Take it or leave it. No one forced you to immigrate to Canada.
Now that you're here, might as well follow the rules.

bandoayan seems to exhibit nothing but ignorance and bias. Why would he expect to get a drivers license immediately upon arrival at Pearson International airport? He may not like it, or agree - even when we strict licensing and road rules, people have collisions and accidents because of their carelessless and lack of respect for the law.
Just imagine what would happen if everyone who lands here, got his drivers license in a jiffy? That would be a joke and this would be like another south asian country like... (whatever comes to your mind).

Why shouldn't he? Is Canada the only country people drive in?..
