When does the 2 Year Period Start?

Hello,

I am a prospective immmigrant to Canada, and have a small question related to the immigration. I know that we have to stay in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years to maintain the residency. My queston is when does the 2 year period start? Does it start after the immigration visa is stamped on the passport or does it start after the applicant has landed in Canada and applied for a PR card?

I would appreciate any inputs on this.

from the date u land and passport stamped
