You do seem to have a super bloated ego and also a somewhat acid tongue. It would be interesting to know what exactly you do for a career and how "big" a person you are. Listening to you it would seem that you are well on your way to be the next Bill Gates or something!! What gives you the damn privilege to drag an individual's job and his success/failure into a public forum and attempt to ridicule it any way you want? Just because you have perhaps managed to be better off than some, it does not give you the right to fart around over people with your silly shit-filled pompous ass? I think it was very mean of you to try and drag mercury's job into this discussion!!
Mercury's point is absolutely correct. The requirement of having a good command over the English language depends on the TYPE of job that you are invloved in. If the job is highly technical in nature, one does not necessarily need to be very fluent in english. Just as jobs in the field of sales, teaching etc and jobs that require a high level of interaction and communication with people may require good language skills, jobs like that of software analysts, hardware engineers, programmers, design engineers etc DO NOT. Going for one of these jobs, you might put the Queen to shame with your english, but you can stuff it up your backside if you are not good at the core tech requirements of the job! In support of what mercury said, as a s/w analyst, I too have worked, and continue to work, with people of various nationalities like Chinese, Turkish, Russians, Poles, Koreans etc, and a lot of them are heavily wanting in their english skills, but that is not a handicap for them in any way.
Each line of work has its own unique requirements and there are several areas where you can just as easily get by with less than perfect english speaking or writing skills.

Yes I agree with the object Chandresh has put across . Those who wish to learn can do so , others may choose to ignore.
Can we all share in some new phrases / idiomatic / correct english that we have learnt for common benefit.
For a start "mutual" is meant for two and "common" is meant for more than two .
"Dead man walking" I learnt recently was a phrase for the final steps of a condemned man .
U " take" a test not "give" it when u appear for it . Giver is the person who administers .
But then they say English always gets changed (read modified) as per usage . Take slang for example .........

I did feel a nasty vibe coming from him but chose to ignore it. Now that you have brought it up I must say I have heard a lot of those positive people here (successful or not) saying that there is "Dignity of labor".....so much for it...now we know better. And the "Chinks" thing..comon....
Your other points just strengthens my position too.....

Good for you! You started it with the "you can choose to ignore the obvious" comment on the first page!
