How true is this if u have to take a DL in States?

You may have to give the exam or a driving test depending upon the state laws where you go to. Some do an exchange directly

I have taken a commercial Licence though not used it so far but i almost spend 3000 bucks and i had to just give it away for a dam car licence ,no way there must be a way out
Why don't you try to change for a commercial license in USA and do the needful as required by the state where you are moving in

It is very tough to get it here and i cannot give all those tests now once again as i have not driven these rigs and morever it is costly to go for the classes again it costs a hell lot of money/
What happens if u dont give out your canadian and in lieu give your indian DL..?
don't think you can keep both cdn and US licenses. Illegal to have them ...

Furthermore, the US and Canadian DMV/MTO databases are linked in a way that when they input your name and DOB in the system, they can instantly see all the driving licenses you have held in either US or Canada.
Unless you change your identify, get a new name, get a different passport and a fresh license, there is no way to fool the system.
