Hi Pink Panther,

I have got my application approved. But still thinking what to do? What you would advise. Is Canada better then UK? (I mean life/Quality/Money)

UK economy is booming, Job market is great, property prices are hot like never before. I'm just thinking about it.

Regards
Raj

here is my 2 cents..
I would not suggest you leave UK for Canada unless you have some strong reason to do so. London(UK) is vibrant, fun and very very lively. Canada is not even close. I know that UK is expensive but these days Canada is not cheap either and salary levels are much lower here.

cheers

Hi, I'm not going to tell you where you should live. You need to make that decision for yourself. Try to do as much research as you can and make up your own mind.

My view of moving to Canada and living here may be extremely different to another person's experiences of moving from the UK to Canada.

It's a big adjustment yes, but so far life has been good here for me. However, would I move back to the UK given half a chance, I would probably say yes. I have deep roots there so for me it would be a plus.

Each country has it's positive and negative points, you need to weigh up what's important to you and take it from there.

Maybe others on this forum who have moved from the UK can give us their experiences too so you can get other people's perspective.

Good luck.

We moved here from UK about 15 months ago and recently, went back to UK for christmas holidays. My wife was initially thinking of moving back to UK as she found it tough in Canada without family, especially we have a newborn this year. Once she was there, she realised that Canada was a much better place to live in as the overall quality of life in UK has gotten worst. By all means, seeing friends and family was great but daily living in UK (especially in the south) would be a nightmare.

I guess everyone has different priorities and opinions what they consider as quality of life. If I moved back to UK, I probably increase my salary by 50% or so but the cost of living would also go up considerably. I found life was more stressful in UK than Canada.

We are still new in Canada (despite being here for 15 months) and are going to give ourselves another 2 years before we make a decision to call Canada our home. Never know...might just move to another country...
