I think you took the right decision.
Very few people get everything they want - like great jobs in N America (and hence pollution/chaos free standard of living) - but not everyone. Without a decent job in Canada, your quality of living *really* goes down. Therefore, I will take living in India with a good job (and with pollution and chaos) rather than living in Canada without a good job.

We were in Edmonton,Alberta last year from Sep2008-July2009.Stayed there for almost 10months..
Regarding Canada,I can say its the most beautiful place on earth. But due to the recession there were absolutely no jobs available..
We as a family of three, survived for those months. But as husband got a very good job offer from Mumbai, after long debates,we finally decided to come to Mumbai.
Now we are happy with the job situation here, but as rightly stated by many,India or especially Mumbai is place full of pollution, population and dirt...Plus there is too much choas in the education system...
So really we are always reconsidering whether we took the right decision.
Time will only give us the correct answer and direction to this dilemma...
Thanks,
There will always be retrospection and introspection..what feels right today may not feel right tomorrow but in the same vein what felt right yesterday doesnt feel right today..you win some you lose some..but one thing is for sure living the best one can in one's time and space will be the key to contentment.
I have been fortunate to have a good job in Canada but still moving back to India..after all let me fall back on the adage "home is where the heart is"
Wishing everyone peace and contentment

Princess2,
Each individual/family situation is different. I am kind of surprised abt job situation in Alberta as it was supposed to be very progressive in the economy. I think u know better than me abt the situation.
It takes lot of guts to move back to India. You folks have that. In the end, one has to be happy. You just need to look for the ways. Were you folks happy in Alberta, sans job? I think not. At least your man has a good job in Mumbai and both need to be grateful for it. Don’t bother what others say or do. You folks need to do things that are good for the family, does not matter where you live.
Web2000,
“…..worse education which make ur children not creative.“
Hope you are not referring to Canada. I know both the system well since my kids were / are in both systems. In India, its getting more marks rather than being creative.
