My take on this:
Why stay with the same company and fight them? Or she cant get another job because of the hi-tech meltdown in US?
Why should she/anyone succumb? It is a fight for principle and respect. Anyways, she stands a good chance to demand compensation and benefits from her employer if her lawyer is good enough. She can be a millionaire without working any more.

Think about it.
People, including your \"white guys\" know the consequences of murder, rape, kidnapping, and other crimes however they still occur.
Anger can make people do things they normally wouldnt..and can impair their judgement and ability to see the consequences of their actions.
It takes a LOT of courage to stand up and fight for justice. Good for her.
