By the way i went to the Registrar general's office , not the indian embassy. and a registered marriage certificate is needed. http://www.cbs.gov.on.ca/MCBS/english/contact_ORG.htm check this, it has all the info. http://www.cbs.gov.on.ca/MCBS/english/change_name.htm
