Like BL pointed out earlier, I do not agree that one can generalise about any people based on their country of origin. That was the point I was trrying to make. Based on what you wrote last Americans would be right to assume that the average indian voter was moronic( even if oppressed, hungry and in a large number of cases, illiterate). I really like to stay away from generalisations. Its always easier to generalize than try to understand someone else.
Whichever side of the political spectrum you are on you cannot deny that the last elections were really a close call. In terms of #'s Algore even won more votes. So I am not sure why you put all Americans in the same boat.
BTW: I dont think education, prosperity and freedom necessarily mean higher intellectual capacity.
