Anyway a few statistic listed by cic.gc.ca http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times-int/2003-Q3/02-skilled.html for the process time for skilled categary immigrant. Note the percentage shown in each column.
First column is 30% (all application that we assume), but 2nd (50% of applications that total to 80%), 3rd( should be 20% remaining but it is 70%) & 4th column( is this column required). Can you make sense of this statistics. If I want a graphical representation, how will I do it for this survey. My point is, if a huge efficient machinery is curning out figures, why cannot we state figures. Had cic listed 70% or 80% figure, it was accepted no matter haw they achieved to it. But similar judgement of a desi member is not acceptable here.
Taking cue from BL and Crenshaw
My desi social circle is quite big too...i'd guess about 50 ppl. I dont know a SINGLE person here who is unemployed. Except for one who is going back for personal reasons(has 20 cr worth ancestral property back in india), all of them like it here. They are in varied fields like IT, aeronautics, academics, business, genetic engineering, medicine, art etc.
By that logic I'd like to say that 100% desis are very happy with their lot in Canada AND are doing GREAT as far as jobs are concerned. Can I?

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
TIME TO HAVE A CONSCIENTIOUS POLL.
Blue Lobster ,
Thanks for starting the success stories section . As much for as giving ur time n efforts to the forum which is much higher than ours .
However restricting ourselves to the discussion (and not argument) is it possible to have a poll of what CDs feel abt the prevailing situation .Rather than giving personals statistics (which may be good or bad) they can post their "observed" percentages of those doing good jobs and those otherwise . We have already crossed the 10K mark and a conscientious poll by the members will be a finding in itself .

Manasvi

I'll leave the number crunching to accountants like Crenshaw, Manasvi, Chandresh et al.
Have you ever seen me quoting numbers/stats?
