Hi,

Shit !! I also cant believe this. They all have same thought about Canada and against the people who are posting nagative posts about Canada. BL has blocked the users who has multiple id and posting nagative posts on this forum, now BL, what will you do with these guys?

I haven't banned anybody because they were posting negative stuff. I've banned one particular troll a number of times (who's the same as this DS moron) because he was manufacturing conversations.

And this recent revelation should be proof of that. Most of the his/her id's here were posting good stuff about Canada. Yet we can't allow this. So I will ask Garvo to ban the other id's here too.

And yeah, I agree this whole incidents reflects badly on the credibility of the site. Thsi member (whoever his real identity is) was actually helping a few people with some really good information. Honestly speaking, i did not know about the Teja id till MI found it out, I myself was under the impression that Teja was one of the most authentic members on the forum, always coming up with real good info and helping others.

Anyways, I hope only one ID comes out now of all these and continues to contribute here.

I guess this is just the nature of the net. The ease with which we dispense info. here brings with itself these issues. We may put in some measures to make this tougher but its impossible to eliminate this completely.

I just hope we don't let hiccups like these interfere with all the good work that we do on the site. Time to move on.

If you're so authentic, how about you send me a personal message with your name and contact information? Or at least send it to a member who you feel is authentic since you think even I'm duplicating ids here. Let's have the truth come out.

Does this go with norms of this website. If you require authentication from each member why not make some kind of reconfirmation of membership by phone.
You can very well check IP address as quoted number of times by MI / Crenshaw / yourself. You have refered to "make friend thread" where I dont find contact info of any of moderate memebrs BL / Crenshaw / MI or you, I would have surely called all of you to congratulate on your success

Do you want to know my story. I am a widow and made Canada my home. My children have derived a wealth of education which I could not have afforded to give them back at home.

I lost my husband at a very young age, brought my 3 young children to Canada ages 4, 10 & 11! I had no friends or relatives to receive me or show me around. Had to do it all by myself. Stayed in a motel for a month, moved to an apt. and then looked around for jobs. I had no money and a desi family that I met in a motel talked to all her friends who rented a truck and filled my house with furniture, dishes, winter coats, blankets, etc. I humbly accepted all and restored my faith in God and hunmanity. I took a lot of temp jobs until found a full time job. Worked 2 jobs to enable me to meet all my children's requirements. I never opted for welfare. Today I have a doctor, an engineer and a businessman in my family.

I have had to work very hard but have not once complained about the jobs or the country. I feel more safe in Canada being a single parent than I would have in my own country. Hope this brings some perspective to all the people who have a lot of negativity about this country. If you are not happy, please leave Canada but do not make the country responsible for your setbacks! I did not! Today my family is happy! :)

Could you give us more details....

1) How (and when) did you come over to Canada...i.e. on what basis/category ? What were your qualifications?

2) At What young age did you lose your husband? You already had a kid of 11 years by that time....

3) Living in a motel for a month would cost a lot.....Just a remark. I wonder how much money you had.

4) After one month you moved into an appartment without a job?????

5) If your story is true then post it in the success stories section.

Thanks.

BL this is the proof of acceptance of cocoa story, probably she is too busy to reply further .......hey, her kids are successful in canada but she is still struggling, why? or disapeared in avatar's uncover operation

Would it be better if people are asked to sign in by their email id rather than username?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can have many email ids on hotmail and yahoo and so many others. How does your suggestion help?

It is not a suggestion. It is a question. The only reason being that it is more difficult to keep track and maintain many different email ids, although a disciplined and motivated prankster could still do it. Also many commercial sites which want to prevent this kind of misuse usually have a login by email so I was wondering if that is more secure.

I have only 2 cents to contribute, not a cent more, not a cent less ;-)

making fun of cocoa's story (calling her children Amar, Akbar Anthony) at a different ocassion.

Notwithstanding the fact that JD has called cocoa's children by that name, and the suspicion of the authenticity of cocoa's story, I think the point he was trying to make is quite valid. He is trying to highlight the fact that cocoa's story is not applicable to the entire cross section of immigrants. It has never been denied, and in fact it is true, that Canada can, and has provided a future for a lot of people who in their home countries were or would have been much worse off. His contention however, that cocoa's story is predominantly suitable for immigrants in the same category as cocoa is quite admissible. He is trying to stress the fact that people like cocoa and their subsequent success in this country should not be taken as an standard yardstick of the likelihood of success for all.
