Your other post in bambaiya to VJ was really refreshing too. I know a couple of other people myself who left very lucrative positions in India to come here and are quite happy. What I notice about you and them is they don't automatically become happy, they seek out happiness instead of griping about the "good ole days when servants did my laundry".

But lets not get away from Truth..........
How many Bambai Ka babu /Lobster/Garvo can you show me out of 225,000 immigrants per year succeeding in Canada......
Anyone can go to Las Vegas and get rich by striking a lottery........your story reminds me of Fairy Tale...
Can we measure that as ' SUCCESS' ????
Real success is when at least 50% of immigrants achieves what you have....

Dont get upset about my negative comments....... I don't belong to that 'FAILURE' category.........
In fact within 3 weeks of landing I got an Enginnering Job with a pay of CAD 55k which is very good by any standards......
Within few months in Canada I got to know the reality.....other immigrants were not that lucky to have succeeded....I have seen more failures than success....especially with "PROFESSIONALLY" qualified people.........
I am away from Canada not because I dont like that place.........but I am at a place where i could earn and save " twice/Thrice" as much.....
Dont you think it would be better if i come back with CAD 250k to buy a house and another 200k as security ?????????
My negative views are for those in India who live in a false dream that Canada is a " Dream" Land what they see in Hindi Movies........

Deep, I am in the same boat as yours and I dont count success by the gains of a few...As Mr Spock Says in Star Trek :-
"The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few", and I agree with you...out of 225K immigrants its hard to find a consistent pattern of success stories ( qualitative of cos) akin to entre, Lobster etc.,

You are 100% right.
Just think how many people are on this forum who are working in labour job?
Hardly its less then 2% . They dont have a time to chat on this forum.
Most of people on this forum are two types :
one they have a field job and
second they are outside Canada and seeking info regarding Canada.
If anybody interested to know truth then contact me, I will show you from just 8 Apartment building Thousand of indian Desi who(husband and wife) are working in labour job and also show you people who are even not afford the rent of Apartment instead of they are living in basement (got dipression) at rent.
This is the Hardcore truth of Canada, You must not misguide the coming people.
