It is good to be optimistic always, but not under the illusion. I expect every new immigrant to know the real facts of Canada and not to live under the American syndrome. Do you think all the new immigrants need to come to Canada to do labour job, just because canada promises good life in their immigration advertisements and promotions?

Well many people come with the big dreams but when they come here they know the reality. It is good that we give them exact picture and don't ruin their life. It is enough of harm already done to the existing immigrants who do all sort of odd jobs with high educational qualification.

Don't you think we need to learn a lesson and don't ruin further lives of innocent immigrants who come with high dream. It is okay for present people who live in canada to be optimistic and positive but not for the people who want to come in with and start with their life with illusion and shattered dreams.

First id like to say it was very sad to hear the story.


Now just a thought if this person was in India for the last 5 years Insted of being, here would he have not struggled ? hummm....and would have gotten better health care In india? humm...... as far as corruption is concerned well there is no utopia. It does not exist. The perfect place with no crime, with no, corruption .Where everthing is just perfect is a state of mind , and everyones sate of mind is different. So there is no such place on this planet but in peoples minds. come on we are not kids we all know how the world works and canada is a part of the world


as far as not being able to get a good job after being qualified.
well sir its just not right to say that standards have been set differently for immigrants. Because thats just not true.

Now just because a teacher from india needs to get certified and upgrade their education in order to be able to teach here , It is only fair. Lets admit it schools are different here. History is differnt, and the system is different. Educatioin is free here. Teachers are not allowed to hit students here and the students as well are very different here. Students here are much more exposed to the world than in india. to be able to embrace to these changes a person cannot get of the plane with 95% tofel score and be able to teach kids who are very different than the students in india and are going to need to learn very different skills to survive here in this country . Skills that a new immigrant with 95% tofel score may not be able to offer . I mean how many teenagers in India smoke drink have boy/ girl friends and dont hesitate to resort to violence which is normal teenage behavior by cultural boudries in the western world.

Now this is only for this profession. every profession has its own story and a person does need to get certified and upgrade their education for one reason or another. for their best intrests and to be able to their job as a professional.

Doctors yes no doubt their many very good doctors with years and years of experience under their belts from indian and other countries dealing with diesease like *lepercy*. open your *leporcy* does not exist in this country to those doctors go and upgrade your education. there are a lot diseases which exist in this part of the world they might not be fimiliar with oh and not to mention the law that exist in this country wouldnt want one of those doctors who gets himself and his employers sued for doing something because those laws dont exist in the country their comming from laws that protect patients. so go get that certification.


As far as Mr rasool's story. I do feel for him. I mean thats a lot of precious time of his life down the drain. However I also have to say, to me it all seems to do with his bad desion making skills. I know its easy to speak about some one pain and point out their mistakes but i feel the need to do so.

First he should have done his reasearch before taking a big step like migrating to a different country!!!

second I think him selling his house in the mother land was another big mistake !!!!!

Third he was here for five years he should have educated himself OSAP people after one year you can make use of it.

Its better to take something back with you to the mother land rather than like MR. rafool just a ticket.

now just because you get an education here doesnt promise you a good job becuase time are bad and there alot of people out of jobs not just immigrants but hey youll have a better chance of getting one after you finish your course.

we have to struggle no matter what or where we are. The key is not to work hard but to work smart :-)


P.S. This was a very sad story with a lot of negetive emotions and views. negative infuence which is not good in times of struggles so request to the authorty who gives such attention to such stories. Bring stories of sucess to the attention of people who are looking for hope.
