Never on this forum the boiling point of Canada immigration flaws had been discussed:

I can provide rough picture which can be refined by desi communities contribution. This immigration thing started when Labour Union and the HR ministry had argument on minimum wages. Union asked for a high minimum wages which resulted in brain storming among the HR ministry and Capatilist. If they accept the demands of union, Canada produced product cannot look at markets outside Canada, they will no more be attractive to US also. Industries threatned ministry to shift themselves to US as labour will be cheaper than Canada.....HR ministry had no option but to decide and enforce a proposal in a manner to solve the labour problem but present it with the perspect of contribution to the economy growth. So they came up with a very brilliant idea to get people outside of Canada to work and breake monopoly of Union. Now, how do they do it without disturbing countries internal forces. They quoted:
* Canada needs skilled people
* Canada needs consumer
* Canada need human producers
* there can be more lilsted reason...but i m interested in these three which narrow down to why skilled people.......(comments invited from reader).
They structed their immigration law on SKILLED CATEGORY, actualy they needed workers to replace workers of union. It is interesting to know why they chose to get professionals instead of real labour. They thaught that people coming in should be able to communicate with Factory or Industry managers. For that basic requirement was Engish or French. It is tough to find french speaking people in huge volumes, next option was English speaking working class. All of us know that university graduates are able to communcate using English with ease. They started structuring policies on getting university graduates instead of Labours. At this point CIC went wrong actualy they needed labour like Dubai or UAE or Saudi and Canada landed up getting graduates.
Labour traveling to UAE etc and work as labour are satisfied on earning inflated wages compared to home country. In Canada too they would have been satisfied.
After getting this labour they could have invested in teaching them basic communication skills. I beleive cost to CIC would have been same what they are spending on re-teaching skills to already highly skilled immigrants. It is like CIC is wasting its money in re-inventing wheel!!!!!
In the process Canada was successful in lowering the minimum wages and wiping out Union from major private owned industries, like a preferable situation for any business community.
I may be wrong....but chances are as low as 0.0001%
And the feeble numbers that get job in Canada could have been here on work permit as well.
CIC is not going to accept this.
We should also realise why university graduates from desh are not able to make it here.
Lets take an example of a factory where welding is done, they expect foreign engineer to know hw to do it and should be doing it. But maximum number of engineers coming from deshi countries having 10 years of experience to back up their education have not welded a 10 cm length.....if they needed welders they should have got one and not engineers...
I wld like reader to understand the idea and not start quoting my sentences or exmple....reader should try to analyse what work they are doing in Canada & which category of people from your country would have been oblidged to perform it in Canada with $$ flowing in their account and it wld have been a big uplift in their standard of living and family back at home country.
Now, situation is that people coming from a successful background are pushed below their home countries standard (this is a very negative statement but read on to understand) Say I was earning 350000/ year (I m not going to disclose correct figures!!) Age 30, before coming to Canada : I will be said to be in a middle high income group. Now if in my field job I am earning $32000 it is low income group (at this moment if I an not considering the quality of work).. Despite of getting job in my field I am in low income group. So, Immigration has lowered my condition instead of promised improvement. Instead, if a person making 50000/year was braught in and he made $25000 it was a improvement for him and a success to immigration process.
Some trades pay more than what you can make in home country like teachers....but these people could be called on work permit / PR.
Do you find any solution to this miscalculation by CIC!!!!!!!!
Comments invited.....................................................not abuse to my sentences!!!

The US did the more clever thing....they essentially (inadvertently) let in huge number of illegal immigrants (most from Mexico). The cheap labor got even cheaper.

About the work permit , thats what they are exactly doing as far as Doctors go....ignoring those who already are here.

I cringe at the thought hear that work permits are being issued while the skilled people are already here.

Can you show some documented facts and numbers to back up your theory?

Its pretty meaningless without that.

Hi BL,

Do you believe that sufficient numbers of field jobs are available in Canada to absorb the flow of skilled immigrants?

Hw can you say that it is meaningless.....Are you not aware of the work available for immigrants......Your comment I find meaningless....as if, If I can prove it; you are going to reward me......I want your meaningful comments.......

There’s just one thing wrong with Canada’s immigration policy – losers like you who can barely frame a single correct sentence in English, slipped through its cracks.

Stop dreaming up conspiracy theories, look at yourself, understand your shortcomings and try again.

Jago - desi ...... your "theory" is interesting but hard to buy. Unless you can provide some facts supporting the labour union/HR argument on this topic ...it remains an interesting theory.

While the reasons for Canada seeking immigrants are plenty ...I feel just one reason which i mention here is strong enough to call for new immigrants . This figure is published by HRDC and gives a breakdown by industry .

By the yr 2010(in just 5 yrs) 28.8% of the workforce in Ontario alone will be retiring.

This is an average rate taken between all industries , and the highest retirement rates are in Govt services,Health and social services, Education services,Agriculture etc.

Isint this a strong enough reason to call for immigrants.
