Hello Everyone,

I have been in the US since past 4 years and have now received an offer from an equally big employer, as my current one to move to Canada.I am a 28 yo bachelor, single and would be moving alone.
I have my mom in india who visits me every year for about 6 months here in US.
I am considering accepting the Canada job offer and making a plan fo staying there for next 3-4 years and see how it goes and return to US if and when I want.
I would appreciate opinion from people on the other side to met let me know if Canada would be a great place for me.
Here are some facts about me :
I am on L-1 visa here in US and can get H-1 visa this October.
My firm in Canada would sponsor my permanent residency in Canada and has offices in US also so if I wanted to get back to US, I can make that happen.
I have an offer from the downtown Toronto office in Canada.
What is the cost of living in Canada?I have an offer of about 80k Canadian dollars.
I have bought a house on mortgage in US and would the interest component of my mortgage of my house in US be tax deductible in Canada?
If anyone out there knows answers to these questions, I would really appreciate !!
Thanks and God Bless !
Please don't post the same question multiple times. Also, this question has been addressed a gazillion times, please do some search as well.
Overall, its a very subjective question, you'll get a whole spectrum of answers.
Bottomline as far as I am concerned is you'll make and save more money in the states, you'll find nicer and more tolerant people in Canada and a country that'll make you feel like you belong. Take your pick.

Are you there?
Moving is always hard decision. I was also living five year in USA and move to Canada. It was hard have to spend money and arrange everything, but good thing is Canadian are very friendly and co-operative especially Canadian desi.
And as you said if you already have a job and US GC has along waiting period than take this opportunity.
And if you are living north east US, there is not much temperature different, 5 to10 F less than northeast.
