From current times, looks like it takes anywhere between 5 to 6 months for medical request from the time CHC-New Delhi starts processing the file.

In the case of "kkdip" (and another person) that you mentioned, there is a discussion wherein he says it took them 7 months to get medical request.

It Looks Similar But The Difference i Found Delayed Approx 2 months In India And 1 Month Here in Canada Because Of Option C printout Total Approx 3 months thats what i found difference

We submitted the papers sometime in September/ October 2007 and the processing started.

From what I have seen on most forums, it takes between 4 to 6 months from start of processing till the medical request.
