Hi Guys,
I have a question regarding parental PR sponsorship. I am in the process of filing their sponsorship papers in a day or two. I am aware that this whole process takes about 3 years. My concerns are following. What if I wish to call them on visitor visa while their PR application being processed? Would there be any remifications on visitor visa? Can they still apply for visitor visa while their PR application is underway? Could the Visa authorities reject their visitor on this basis only? Has someone on this forum gone through such scenario?
Please suggest. Thanks in advance for all the helpful inputs.
It shouldnt be a problem. Just make sure they return back before their time limit on vistor visa (usually 6 months) expires "dont overstay". If they want to stay more may be apply for vistor visa extension but i would recommend just stay for 6 months go back and if they decide on to come again reapply that way you abide by CIC rules and your file stays in good books. However, i did apply for visitor visa extension for my parents from Canada they stayed with us for almost 9 months. My parents sponsership file was approved by Mississauga in June 2008.Now its in New Delhi queue.
Hope this helps.

Hello ECOM
Once you pay the fees and print the receipt, you have to send it to the CPC. The online system does not ask you the file # of your parents. The matching of the fees paid with your file is done via the receipt that is sent in.
