I applied in june 2008, doc submitted in jan-2012, file transferred to delhi april-2012 and after that my ecas status changed from app received to IN PROCESS and its written that we started processing Mr.XYZ file on DEC 19 2012..

so what should I expect now....please help me ...if anyone knows about it...thanx

I have received PCC & medicals request from Ottawa for my parents ...

PCC request mentions a 60 day deadline for submission however in case of medicals no such deadline is mentioned .

Is there any deadline for getting the medical done once the request has been received ??? ... 30 days , 60 days , 90 days ??

Coolvip - thanks for the response .... I double checked my email this morning and did not find the 30 day deadline any where .... Was yours from Ottawa as well ?

Can some one else also validate my query above .... I wished to delay the medical slightly as I know the landing must take place with in a year of that .. (is that correct as well ? ) ...... wondering if there s a deadline to medical submission .... Thx ..

If it’s going to take more than 60 days then you better send them explanation letter about delayed. - not required though but to be on safe side it’s better to informed them.

I know a family who deliberately delayed medical for 55 days (for some health issue) – but they informed CIC by letter about delay , it was 4 years back and back then it was 6 month process but it took them almost 1 year to get stamps. ( we are not 100% sure if visa stamp was delayed due to medical delayed but that is what we assume)

Is it true that the landing must take place with in an year from the medicals date ?

I am under this impression - since I wish my parents to land next summer (say June) , I wish to delay the medicals by a couple of months .

However if the above assumption is incorrect and there s no dependency b/w medicals and Visa or landing , I shall get it done immediately as there are no other pending reasons ...

Can ppl check and share from their experience whether the deadline issued on the Visa for landing was with in one year of the date of medicals ?
