Dear CDs on this thread,

Does any one of you have any idea as to when one should pay "LANDING FEE" for parents sponsorship application; once parents file has been submitted to CHC Delhi after being approved in Canadda and what is the amount?

We paid it upfront with the application (when I submitted it in Canada in mid 2005) though it is not mandatory I guess. If you choose not to pay it with your application, the immigration office will request it when they are ready to issue the visa but the downside is that it will add about 2 to 3 more months to your wait time.

Don't have the precise dates but it was more or less at the same time - but normally the website is updated later and it gets updated only once a week (Monday evenings - EST).

I Havenot Paid Landing Fees Yet But Planning To Pay When We Receive Medical or Interview But it Has Been 6 Months 13 Days Since New Delhi Starts Processing Nothing Yet...........

Hello Ecom:

No new updates from my side. Looks like it takes about 7 months from the time parents submit the application to CHC, New Delhi and they start processing till parents receive the medical request. We are waiting for the medical request at the moment.
